Notification to confirmed investment in 5 steps

Investing in Startups, Made Clear

A mobile app that guides investors from notification to confirmed investment

[Project Overview]

AKKA is a mobile investment platform that simplifies investing in promising startups. I designed the user journey from discovering an opportunity through a notification to exploring startup details, signing documents, and completing the investment with confidence.

[Problem Statement]

Investing in a startup involves unfamiliar steps: reading the details, signing documents, and paying. Users need clarity and confidence at every one.

[Persona]

Sam

Individual investors

An assumption-based persona I created to guide the design, not built from interviews. Sam wants to back promising startups but needs to feel confident at every step before committing money.

[Goal]

Browse open startups easily.

See a startup's team and funding progress at a glance.

Review everything before confirming an investment.

[Frustrations]

Unfamiliar steps like signing documents and paying.

Unclear information about the startup.

Not knowing whether the investment went through.

[Process]

[01] Understanding the Problem

Identified the steps in an investment that need the most clarity: reading the details, signing documents, and paying.

Listed what an investor needs to see before committing: the startup's story, team, funding progress, and amount.

Defined the goal: help investors feel confident at every step of the journey.

[02] Mapping the Journey

Mapped the investor journey from notification to confirmed investment.

Broke it into five steps: Notification, Projects, Startup page, Enter amount, Sign and confirm.

Kept each step to one clear action, so investors always know what comes next.

[03 Design Solution]

Organized each startup page into tabs (Overview, Team, Funding, Milestones), with the funding goal and progress bar at the top.

Designed one clear Invest button and an amount screen that shows the current balance.

Built a Confirmation screen that summarizes the project, amount, and documents before the investor confirms.

[04] Final Screens

Refined the visual style: a deep navy base with a bright orange action color for key buttons.

Kept spacing, rounded cards, and type consistent across all screens.

Reviewed the full flow so every screen has one obvious next action.

[Outcome]

A complete investor journey from notification to confirmed investment.
Startup pages that show the team, funding progress, and milestones in one place.
A confirmation step that lets investors review everything before they commit.

[Key Learnings]

Confidence comes from clarity.

Showing the funding goal, team, and amount upfront helps investors feel sure before they commit.

One action per screen

Each step has a single clear next action, which keeps a long process from feeling heavy.

Review before you commit

A confirmation scSreen that summarizes everything reduces doubt at the most important moment.
